We talked about the recent hike in Tunecore annual album costs and there has been a lot of discussion about what this means for artists. Apparently CD Baby is looking to jump in and take those artists who are upset by the price jump, and they’re not being subtle about it in the least. They created a new URL (http://CDBabyLovesYouMore.com), the video posted here, and a special 1/2 price submission deal for all artists switching over from Tunecore (although this deal IS available to artists from any competing service). They’re really pushing the angle of “we’re here for the artists, how could Tunecore do this?”

Do you think they are going too far in their anti-Tunecore advertising?
