An article from the WSJ suggests that the soon-to-be-announced iCloud will do just that. I know that I’ve lost my iTunes library on multiple occurances, with varying degrees of success when trying to restore it.
The iCloud will–remember that this is all speculation–scan users’ libraries to find music from the major labels. Once this music has been found, the albums and tracks will be available on multiple devices through the service.
Though deals have been made with only three of the four majors, it is believed that an agreement will come together with Universal within the week.
I, for one, am excited for this announcement. What else do you think the iCloud could bring us? Will the deals with the four major labels shift your attention more towards the iCloud?
