According to the Inside Facebook Gold service, Facebook lost 6 million users in the United States in the last month alone. Canada lost 1.52 million. While overall the user numbers are still growing (thanks to late-adopting nations surging the numbers), it is interesting to see such a big hit in these nations. Growth has been slow in the last two months, which hasn’t happened back to back in the last 12.
Countries like Mexico, Brazil and India, however, were top gainers for May and June 2011.
Mashable suggests that these losses could actually be corrections to previous errors in numbers. What do you think the losses mean?
