With a very creative release of only the site, J.K. Rowling sent fans into turbo mode trying to figure out what her clues meant for the future of the Harry Potter franchise. The clues led fans to the site Potterville, which only leads to this page:
Everyone was very confused until a London Times article (which requires payment to view) revealed a memo that tells us Pottermore is an online game of sorts. The site will reveal clues to fans, who can then decipher them to find the real-world locations of prizes hidden throughout the U.S. and U.K. Said prizes are supposedly going to be “magic wands,” but it is still unclear as to what they mean by that.
Do you think this is the endgame, or do you think the whole clue-and-prize situation is really PR for a bigger event?
