Visit the UPS site to see the video about their new feature: texting package recipients about their delivery. The video features a cute delivery slip dinosaur who receives a text telling him when his package should arrive (within a 4 hour window).
If you are not available within that four hour time span, you can authorize the delivery person to leave it at your home, redirect it, or opt to pick it up at the store.
I, for one, am excited about the service, because I hate coming home to see that my package wasn’t able to be delivered. I can only hope that other delivery companies (I’m talking about you, Fedex) will follow suit.
