According to this study posted by AllFacebook, and completed by EyeTrafficShop, 100% of users are looking at your cover photo. This study only incorporated 30 people, so it was a small number of participants, but the overall data is still interesting. In addition to the cover photo, you should be focusing on your company’s logo placement, because many people are looking at that, too.
Some other highlights:
- Cover photos with faces (i.e. people) attract more attention.
- Likes, Events, and Apps are viewed more with Timeline.
- Ads and Timeline posts are viewed far less.
This information is great for you as a musician! A photo of the band will attract more attention (faces), and you can utilize your logo/name, likes, events (concerts!), and applications (streaming your music!) far more.
